Women Empowerment is now becoming a movement of great magnitude among urban and rural alike. Personally, this has been a concept very close to my heart and something that I believe in ardently. To me empowerment means creating opportunities for girls, providing them with resources and the courage to dream and realize that dream. We women are inherently strong and have the unique ability to build an inclusive and cohesive team.

I launched “Women’s Prowess”, the event, began in 2006 and through all these years, we have been encouraging young women to draw on their inherent strength to become creators of their own lives and a better future generation of this country. Over the last 14 episodes we have had many dynamic and inspiring women achievers who have joined us in our efforts.

Since 2014, we have teamed with Natarajan Education Society (NES) that works towards skills development, technology-enabled education solutions and women empowerment through various social programs.

Over the years I have realised (through our female students) that education has a huge impact on empowerment because it enables a women to respond, challenge, confront traditional roles and eventually change their life. Women education opens up the new horizons, broadens her thinking, develops new ideas and hopes, enhances knowledge and skills, provides the courage to meet the challenges of life and give freedom of expressions.
